UK Car Hire

Hi, was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on UK car hire companies - good or bad? I'm looking to hire for 1.5 days from Edinburgh airport and am finding it's more expensive than hiring for 3.5 days!! Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks, Scoya.

Scoya, I have just replied on your other thread regarding your upcoming visit to Edinburgh and to be honest if you are staying in the centre of Edinburgh you really would be better taking the Airport bus into the centre and using public transport.
Edinburgh is not designed for car driving and more importantly, car parking
