in Credit cards
I have been refused from a few credit card companies recently for bad credit and I dont know why. I really need to get a new credit card as my current one with MBNA is now charging interest more than my monthly DD's.
I had a card with HSBC last year, paid on time, had a high credit limit, earnt them a bit of money etc but they wouldnt let me apply for a new one.
I know we are in a credit crunch at the moment, but I really cant understand why I, someone in secure job on good pay with no worries of a mortgage write now cant get a flipping card!

well, if you don't know why you are being refused then maybe its because there's something on your credit files... you can get paper copies for just £2 each (three agencies) but don't pay for credit score (it means virtually nothing).
Also you can get a 'free' month access to your records but make sure to cancel before the month's up.0 -

Some lenders, such as HSBC, will not consider applications from former cardholders in the 6 months following closure.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
