Does anyone sell apples?

When we bought our house it came with a largeish orchard and we simply can't use them all. I thought the previous occupants said something about selling them for cider?? Does anyone have any experience or advice on this? Or have you sold them to passers by etc? Any advice gratefully received! I don't suppose it would be a great money-spinner but every little helps!

I have struck a deal with a local trader on the farmers market. Just got chatting to him and explained about my excess fruit problem, and he said he would gladly pay me for my fruit, some come from my allotment, so I trade his jams and pickles for my fruit. they will make great christmas presents!The sign of a wasted life is a tidy house, Welcome to the chaos!0

I make my own wine and cider, freeze some for desserts and puddings, then put the rest on a big box and with a sign saying 'free to good homes!' on it. Even though they're free for the taking I always seem to end up with a few quid chucked in the bottom of the box each day, but I've never tried to 'sell' them formally.0
