Switching from monthly to weekly pay,

I am starting a new job next week, but will be being paid weekly rather than monthly as I am used to. Since I have never been paid weekly before dose anyone have any tips or things I need to make sure I watch out for to budget when being paid like this?

I just used to pretend I wasn't getting paid and let the money build up. Not that difficult to do if you've just had a last monthly salary.

I would spread out Direct debits.
Say at the moment you have Mortgage, gas and electric on the 1st, have mortgage on 1st, gas on 8th and electric on 15th

Simplistic, but i'm sure you get the idea :)
