BIN - no postage.

There is something I have been looking for that I realy want and it is on a BIN. I am prepared to pay the asking price but the shipping charges have only been done for the US,although he says he will ship to Europe and to ask for prices, which I have done but not had a reply yet.

The BIN say he wants immediate payment, which is not a problem but how will I know what to pay for shipping to the UK.

I know I am panicing over this but I realy want it. Apart from waiting for his reply is ther anything I can do to secure this item.

He would be sending this from Denmark and is not a business seller so is most likey not glued to his computer.

Well... if you're really desperate, you could buy... but you'd be leaving yourself vulnerable to a shipping charge that could be more than you'd want to pay. If that happened, you'd still be committed to buy.

Isn't BIN it now is cover under distance selling regs? Do they still apply outside UK? Maybe you have the right to cancel with 7 days is p&p is too high.

DSR's and the item is from Denmark? I don't think so.

The P+P is stated and you can't cancel. P+P is stated and OP should note that before buying.

If you are that desperate buy and just pay the full cost that he would have incurred shipping to the USA. If you want a cheaper price then you will have to wait for a reply.

How much do you want it?
  • I realy am that desperate!!!

So do I just click on the BIN button, confirm that I want to buy it but wait till he sends postage costs befor I pay by Paypal? He has said immediate payment required.

If it says "imediate payment required" underneath the Buy It Now button at the top of the page then the item isn't yours until the paypal payment has gone through

is the US postage price 'acceptable'?
if so just buy it and pay US P&P
however be prepared ot pay more if the seller gives a different price however i doubt it would be substantial
    be aware though

    Exactly.

You won't actually have bought it until you've sent payment, which you can't do until the seller gives you an invoice with the updated P&P charges.

So no matter what way you look at it, you have to wait until the seller responds until you can buy it.

If it is coming from Denmark, I would expect the postage charge to the UK to be less than that to the US and the buyer should be expecting a refund.

Buyer shouldn't expect anything. If you want to negotiate then you do it before purchase don't expect a discount and you might be surprised (pleasantly hopefully).

I am assuming its a great deal if so OP should bid. If its an OK deal then perhaps they can afford to wait.

I agree. But some earlier replies were suggesting that an extra payment could be asked. Denmark to the UK is going to be less than Denmark to US .

However we don't know whether seller is basing the postage on anything in particlar, so we can't assume he will charge less to the UK or even the same as he charges for the US.
