I'm absolutely thrown as to if this is a good deal or a con. I always err on the side of con so have not progressed it but does anyone have further info on what I received this morning.
Details are email from a company called safecard who address me by full name.

I went to www.safe-card.co.uk not using the link and go to a really poor website, which kept up the con side in my brain. I can find no reference in the Newcastle Building Society and can see no reference to safe-card there. Google doesn't throw up much either.
As far as I can see if this is a con then its an enticing one as I have often opened cards just for the bonus they give in the past. Not only would they get my details but I would also pay them £9.95 for the honour of doing so. If its legit then they really need to do work on their website.
Anybody heard of this one?
Just seen I've spelt the title wrong and now can change it. Damn

The website is awful, but the application does link through to https://www.altair-financial.com who are a real issuer of prepaid cards.
The fees are the worst I've see, with charges for loading, a monthly fee, and both purchase and ATM charges.0 -
My Daughter recieved a phone cal from this company they knew her name and address. unfortunately my Daughter agreed to go ahead with an application and foolishly gave them her debit card details but not her secuity code. they told her tha no money would be taken untill after she had recieved her card and that there was a 20 day cooling off period. A week later £49.99 was taken from her account and now 3 weeks later no card no letters from them and all phone calls go to answer machine and of course no one ever calls back. My advice would be to avoid this company untill more info is available0

I probably should be posting this elsewhere but this is the first page that came up.
I had a call from Fastrack - (fun learning for all) it sounded good but having recieved the package I think its a con now!
The logo/address at the top is Fastrack but at the bottom says Produced by Safe Marketing Services, anyway, I (stupidly) did give my card details over the phone but not the 3 digit security code, I thought that meant they could not withdraw the £59.99 subscription after the 7 day free trial but reading the above message it seems they can, what do I do now, cancel my card...?!
would appreciate any advice please,
thanks,
