Camera Memory Cards - Any Difference In Brands???

Boots seem to have VERY good price on Compact Flash 128 - just £9.99. Standard price, too, on their own brand. This is as good as/better than some mail order firms, for lesser known makes.
I can't imagine there are too many makers, of these cards - who makes them for Boots, I wonder.
& is there any variation in quality, that those foto experts, can tell us about???

most now are priced differently because they access at fater speeds. you should be able to get a 1gig card for £35.
i would advise to always go no less than 256 meg for a card as you will always take loads of photos and you can worry about deleting the bad ones later rather than worry about ' have i got enough room for 5 more photos'
ideal sollution would be to get 2 512 meg cards, just incase you ose 1 you can still take loads with the other.what is the plural of moose?

There are differences in brands, the first site to do semi-scientific comparisons was Rob Galbraith's. A quick google also gave a comparative review at www.dpreview.com
I think a lot of "own brands" used to be made by toshiba. Not 100% sure about boots though.
