  • Got some fab Christmas jokey-pressies this morning! A Christmas toilet seat cover and a four pack of Christmas hats in 99p store:)

Poundland is also doing some great deals on chocolate; giant toblerones for a pound etc...

    Sorry, I'm a newbie so don't know if there's already a thread for this!:D

Unfortunately the size of a Toblerone has shrunk - time was they were 400g for £1, now they are smaller than 200g.

There is a separate Poundland thread but I'm not a purist - I compare the 2 stores! :D

My local 99p Store currently has big bottles of Dettol Shower Gel. Looks like the stock is going quickly as they're the same price as smaller 600ml bottles, but these are a massive 950ml and include a dispenser pump!

They had a couple of versions in mine, one with Eucalyptus and the other with Camomile.

I bought one last week but liked it so much that I've since return to get a couple more bottles. Should last me the rest of the year haha!

Found the following in the Luton branch yesterday:
    Scholl foot and shoe powder
    Scholl athlete's foot spray
    Scholl hard skin remover cream
    Scholl extra breathable shoe insoles

    stuff i'd seen before :
    Scholl blister plasters
    Pearl drops hollywood smile
Sally Hansen 14 day nail stickers
Coppertone sunscreen spf 50 (small bottle)

It was perfect as my friend's going away this ski season, made a lovely little hamper using a £4 primark make up bag. :j

I had resigned myself to Santa forking out a tenner for one of those universal chargers from HMV because my son's old one had broken and Santa is bringing him a couple of PSP games. I am really poor at the moment and didn't need this!

The 99p shop had a USB and car lighter charger kit in. Brought it home and tested it and the USB bit works fine - will keep us going until I can buy the plug in one :money:

No bargains worth reporting on when I visited yesterday. Although I read on another post that the 99p shop is selling winter spikes for shoes, now that would be worth having.

ETA: Not at all happy with this buy. Pasted from the Icy & snow weather traction for footwear thread:

Am really annoyed with these - have fallen at the first hurdle as they don't stretch over my walking shoes. Stopped me from being where I needed to be this evening as my road is like an ice rink, and I'm petrified of slipping.

  • I don't have a 99p shop very locally so only get to go there occasionally, but I got some bargains recently.
    - Decaf Senseo coffee pods for my machine. Full size pack of 18 and usually £4 everywhere else. I'm breast feeding so limit my caffeine so these are ideal for me.
-Angry Birds sandwich box and drink bottle (99p each) but really good quality.
-6 Pack of plastic posting envelopes.
-Chugginton Little Library of six mini books. Usually about £4-5 for these.

I found a Little Me (baby range usually 5x the price of 99p store very gentle and good for sensitive skin we already use the bath foam as its so gentle).
    yipeee playtime body cream

Its got Neroli, Rose and Mallow in it. Smells nice and its very light and soaks in easily. I found it in the adult moiserisers section rather than the baby section.
