These footprints from car insurance online quotes are there for your information only. They are classed as unrecorded enquiries and they're not seen by lenders. Rest assured they have no effect on your credit ratingPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
so today i applied for my credit file and noticed that it said i was registered on the electoral roll and stated my council name, but no names were listed or dates against it. Yet i vote every year with the slip that comes from the council to our house.
so i just rang the council and my middle name is stated first on the list then my first name in the middle. i.e my name is John Andre Smith, they had my name as Andre.J.Smith
i think this is why i have been refused credit in the past as it was this that was lowering my score.
so they going to send me a form to fill so i can change this.
my question is, once this is changed so it is correct, how long will it take for it to appear on my credit file?0 -

before making an credit application check your credit files are all in order and get a credit rating for both, you need pretty high scores at present say 470+ equifax & 850+ with Experian (correct me if I'm wrong but those are the approx levels) if you are way below that forget it, as you will leave a credit seach on your file by making an application, you should ideally only have 1-2 max in the last 6 months to.0

Hi Guys
I am new to credit and was declined for an 02 contract mobile due to no credit history, I had the same response when I applied for a T-Mobile Contract.
However T mobile offer a new service for little or no credit customers called a SIM only deal (SOLO) contract
Basically you dont have a new phone they send you a sim which you can use in your existing handset - it is a pay monthly option but is only a 30 day rolling contract and you can cancel at anytime
I am on the SOLO 20 where you get 500 mins and unlimited text for just £20 a month
The Bonus is that having just seen my equifax file they report the account conduct to them so this will help improve my scoring - also after 6 months T mobile will if payments have been met upgrade you to a proper contract with a free phone.
Useful info if your new to credit?0 -

FYI and anybody else reading, if you ordered a paper copy, you can telephone the CRAs quoting the reference number and date of your report and they will advise you of subsequent changes over the phone, so there's no need to order further copiesPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
