Yes, Virgin has excellent online services. If you register your details on the website, you can monitor your account (including any BTs you've requested) and pay bills fasterPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Okay excellent.
Only really the landline issue to resolve now, if it even requires working out (maybe I'm just being daft).
Do they bother to call you back after you apply though? I really can't remember.0 -

Warning to all!!!
I went on to the experian site, Saw my address was incorrect I click'd edit and put my current addres on. By doing this I destroyed my credit file by removing all account data.
I discovered this by chance as I was applying for credit and got turned down, I looked at my credit report to find I was listed as never having credit and having no accounts with a score of -999.
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN
I called experian they told me because I had click'd EDIT and not ADD in the address update option, this had the effect of removing all data listed against that address.
I imeadiately cancealled suscription
Morral!
don't enter data on Experian site as the consequence's could be catastrophic0 -

I second the above, the same happened to me, on March 15 it was all there, I added the name of my street to the address details and on March 17, all the entries have vanished and I am not even on the voters' list anymore - its unprofessional and really stupid0 -
It did not go anywhere, all that happened is YOU could not see it on CreditExpert (this is simply a portal to access your file through), but all of the data was still there and any lender doing a search would sell ALL of the data. I would recommend in future if you have to edit or add an address that you call the freephone number and ask them to do it for you, then you will not get so concerned over it.0

so does that mean we can never access the previous information through CreditExpert, they are a bit of a con because they demand our credit card details and promise support and access to our credit records but do not protect us or warn us that we can delete all access if we want to correct the address - this is a warning to everyone because they email and promote their service but do not help or support once they have your credit card details - they are a sham0 -
Hi all,
I was hoping you may be able to help me with an enquiry I have relating to my credit rating, I was recently rejected for my first credit card application which I found very surprising.
I have since obtained my credit reports and it appears that my primary current account (where my wages etc are paid) does not appear on the report. I have contacted Barclays about this and they have now told me that in the past they did not share information with the credit agencies and that is why they have no record of my account (it was opened 10 years ago).
Barclays have said there is no way to share this information with the credit agencies and the only way to give them my current account info would be to open and use a new current account. Is this information correct? Surely Barclays are required to share my financial information if I request that they do so?
I am very worried that my credit rating is significantly damaged by not having a record of my 10+ years with Barclays, surely if I just open a new account now I will just be starting again from scratch. Does anyone have any advice for how I can resolve this?
Thanks for any help.0 -

You refer to this as your primary current account. Have you a current account with overdraft facilities already open, that could be used to build a credit history?
If this would be your first credit card, you have a limited credit history so, from the lender's perspective, you're something of an unknown quantity. They are likely to see your lack of a payment history with other lenders as too great a risk. Once you have operated a starter credit card and one other for a bit, you'll find it easier to get the cards and limits you want.

Does anyone know if having a loan as settled on your credit reprot helps greatly with regards to credit rating?
I have a loan which will be paid off by the end of the year and just wondered how this will affect my rating? I have a default that is paid and I hope that once the loan is paid in full it will mean that I look more trustworthy?
The Loan amount was 6.5k and the default amount was £612.00 and is 3.5 years old.
Any info would be great
