Niddy, looks like they super-declined OP or checked the wrong address:
The Angencies had no record of the credit refferals from Tesco's but I dont know why

And N-I-D has a good point, being turned away by T-Mobile is likely a blessing in disguise ;)

Would it show as a Tesco search though or a T Mobile search? When I first went to Vodafone I went via Singlepoint and although my bills etc were all produced by singlepoint, vodafone done any CRA searches.

So if he can confirm whether there are T Moby searches - it may help. If there is nothing then yes, a super-decline seems the most obvious choice which would suggest that the address is not being verified correctly thus fails before any proper scoring takes place.

Good point - Tesco Loans & Credit cards appear as Tesco even though they aren't... so could be either!

OP should check for both on EQ and EX (T-Mobile natively use EQ but if it's going via Tesco could be either) and let us know please :o

The only checks done were those by T Mobile ( twice now)..
My rating can't be any higher and I checked and used the address exactly as quoted on my credit score reports to hopefully ensure no problem.

On the Electoral Roll I have alwsy been restricted use to prevent ID theft etc but in all the years of owning this home have had other checks made for cars, cc cards etc with never a problem before now...I can only think it is a system interrogation that is invisible or it can't understand my address ( never made a difference in the past)..

Looks like I will switch mobile provider and remain on PAYG...

As I stated earlier then, you've failed their internal score the first time and the second time was a super-decline as you'd recently applied thus rendering your application void the moment you started to complete it.

Basically move on and don't consider this firm, but then as a Voda hore i'm going to say that lol :rotfl:

I wouldn't feel bad about it tbh each lender has their own criteria and you don't fit the bill.

Might have nothing to do with your payment history whatsoever, you might just not be the kind of customer they are looking for, and they are well within their rights to make that decision.

If you'd be better off on Contract than PAYG research the market and find the best deal that suits you; I would imagine an Orange or Three contract would be the best value for money and I'm yet to come across anyone who's failed the credit check with either network... :o

Shall I start the trend mate - lol..... Orange said no to me last year! I was already with Voda and had 3 contracts at the time meaning I was a £200 per month customer - and those muppets declined me :rotfl: :rotfl:

Still makes me laugh now, thinking about it - I mean they'd have had over £3000 from me if they'd only said ok Niddy! :p:p

ETA - however I did try and get 3 handsets at the same time, not the standard '1' so maybe that affected my score but the woman even said the system won't allow me to process one order, let alone 3!

That's wierd, my Ex managed to get two contracts out with Orange, one with a Nokia N97 and one with an Omnia i8910 HD last June (brand new top spec £500 handsets at the time), with a then-two year old default to O2 with over £900 still outstanding and two more slightly older satisfied defaults to Three and Vodafone...

    What are you doing wrong?

500+ searches, 21 defaults, 11 CIFAS if I recall at that time mate (none mine of course) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
