That's what Halifax's pre-approved offers will eventually come in useful for?0 -
How do I remove error on my credit report re late payment when last payment on account was in 2000 and 2001 but credit report showing that payment was late in 2007. More than 6 years after last payment sent and account balance less than £5.
This is with Lloyds bank. I have written to bank and 2 of the credit agency but no correction done. I know it will addect my credit rating0 -
I have a default for an old mob contract one all three CRA's.
I've paid this off and on equifax it was still showing as outstanding.
I queried this and they have sent a letter to the company that issued the default.
As they havent replied within a certain time they have removed it for now pending further
info from the original company.
Hopefully this will never happen as it's now squeeky clean! Happy days (for now anyway!)0 -

Do you need the green 0's? If so, then keep it. It will be useful for building up your credit history.
If you've already got a credit card or another product and don't intend on using your catalogue again, then just close it.
The products catalogue companies sell are often much more expensive than anywhere else, so it certainly won't benefit you to be buying your things from them.
The world would be a better place without these catalogue companies. Dirty robbing b**tards. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
never-in-doubt wrote: »Zack if you try reading back a page mate! It was me who suggested that they were upgraded as their limit (and increments) are out the norm for the classic card.
You won;t get regular increases, you get one after 4th statement - thats it. To get upgraded nowadays you need to close the classic and reapply for whatever card after 6 months but as Elky stated, that isn't always a good thing cos he closed a £500 classic for a £100 plus card lol
lol I thought the plus card would come with bigger limits than the classic. I had no intensions of going back to Capital One when I closed my classic card but they released the new cards so I though I'd try my luck.
At least my spending can't get out of control, there's !!!!!! all I can buy with £100!
It's more green 0's though so it isn't all bad. :rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I could do with more Green "O" just like most people I guess.
But I do not want to keep them if it will begin to affect my credit.
They are with GU and Next, GU is always interest free and Next is not that high either
But I do agree others are ROBBING BAS*ARDSIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

I can't see why it would affect your credit. Perhaps so if you're over-committed however there shouldn't be a problem leaving it open.
However, I believe after a certain amount of time, an account stops reporting green 0's if it hasn't been used in a while, and instead reports 'U', unavailable. I may be wrong though, hopefully someone else will confirm this. We’ve had to remove your signature.
