Connecting Sky+ an DVD Recorder

I'm looking to connect up a DVD Recorder to the Sky+ receiver I currently have installed. It will more than likely replace the VCR which is already there.
However, I also have a DVD Player which is connected to the 2nd scart socket on the TV with Sky & VCR connected into the 1st one.
As I hope to consolidate down to just the sky box and the dvd recorder, can someone please advise me the best way to connect them all up so that I can archive content from the sky box onto dvd if need be? I've had a go at it this evening and I wasn't very successful. Perhaps someone on here will be able to sort out my cabling issues without too much fuss!!

Connect sky box to SCART in on DVDRW, then connect the out scart from the DVRW to the TV.0

Thanks alot. Where should the aerial go into? Should it go into the sky box 1st or the DVD?
Also, with that method shown above, can the sky box be viewed with the DVD turned into standby? The only reason I ask is that I thought I tried this way earlier and the sky box wasn't seen on the scart channel when connected in this mannerApparently I am the original tight fisted Yorkshire Man!!0 -
You shouldn't need the aerial connection unless you are also using freeview / analog reception. But I would connect it to the DVD drive so it has an option of recording from sky or freeview
The DVD when left in standby should pass the signal through to the TV (if its like mine that is!). The DVD recorder then controls the source, IE dvd playback, freeview or TV playback where it can record from Sky.0 -
OK Thanks. I'll give it a go tomorrow night when I'm less tired and in a better frame of mind to tackle it!Apparently I am the original tight fisted Yorkshire Man!!0
