'd say that implies there's some sort of fee because automatic annual renewalls unless you cancell usually involve some kind of fee being charged to your card
Anyone know what happens when you cease to be a capital one customer?
Will Equifax try to renew and charge.
Don't worry I have it in my "spreadsheet" but would be interested if anyone knows or has views.
Can you not see the bit i highlighted in bright red that says -
"The Cap One Identity Alert Product will be renewed on an annual basis unless you cancel by notifying us"
Don't want to argue, but just to answer the question, NO I cannot see any implication of a FEE.

They cannot charge you a fee without first informing you of precisely what that fee is.0

OP, Don't worry about any fee, renewals etc as there are none provided you do not request extra services and as long as you have an open account with Capital One.
The alerts service is very useful if you like to know who's been taking a look at your history and you get a 2 free copies of your credit report in full every year. In fact if you dispute anything on the report at any time you'll get a free updated reported from them at that time so it is possible to get more than two free.
I hold a Capital one card solely for this purpose after using one of their cards for stoozing. I use the card twice monthly for small purchases just to show it's an active account and to keep the service.
