Thinkbanking

Hi

I noticed that some of you are considering using Thinkbanking and I would like to tell you not too.
My husband and I are with them as we had financial trouble with resulted in our current accounts being withdrawn.
We have been with Thinkbanking now for 2 years as we have no other choice to bank with them as were insolvent.
Firstly, there call centre is only available 8-8 Monday - Thursday and 8-7 on a Friday and 9-1 on a saturday.
Since day one they have been !!!!. They never answer calls, you can be on hold for over 45 minutes. They have allowed direct debits to leave my account on dates that I have not allowed and then when I claim my monies back via indemnity claims they !!!!! and moan about it; the direct debit guarantee state that you are to return funds via an imdenity claim with 48 hours. I am lucky if I get the monies back within 3 weeks. I am currently nearly 2 weeks into an indemnity claim for monies that allowed to leave my account when I said they couldn't send.
The charged us £5 each for new bank cards which were damaged at their end.
They charge you £17.50 for a joint account which when we joined was only £12.50 and when I asked them about it they said they all customers were advised of this change but 640 other customers of theres on the net say they were never told either so I believe TB are liars.
The amount of £17.50 is for them to manage my account and they don't even do that.
I hate TB and I would advise you not to touch them with a stick.

Have no opinion on them but I would say that D/Ds going out on days 'that I have not allowed' is not their fault. A D/D is an agreement between you and the originator and they or any bank has no input into that.

I know its a bit late now and hindsight is a womderful thing, but if you had Googled them before getting accounts, you would have found what a bag of sh!te they really are.

Even if you are insolvent you should be able to get basic bank accounts with a high street bank. NatWest Step Account is one, I'm sure the Co-op do one as well.
    :p
