Bathroom Seal please Help??

I need to put a seal around my bath as bath has dropped about 3cm. The seal strip I purchased is not wide enough and the seal just falls straight through. Is it possible to raise my bath and if so how do I get the front panel off. Please Help..........Wife on the ramapage :eek:

Do you know why the bath has dropped?? If it is a cast iron or pressed-steel bath there are unlikely to be any fixing brackets, just adjustable legs, but they should be stood on weight bearing timbers, not directly onto the floorboards. If it is an acrylic bath, it is likely to have fixing brackets behind the first course of tiles, and adjusting the legs on this could place the acrylic under duress and cause it to crack.

How to get the panel off depends on what type it is. Acrylic ones have a lip at the top and it can be carefully pushed down to release it, and it may have 2 or 3 securing screws at the bottom. Wooden panels are usually screwed to baton at plinth height, and if you have a tiled hardboard panel, it has hopefully got some screwheads hidden along it somewhere.
