Security

Having registered with an on line bank to open a new account. I was quite shocked that the bank concerned emailed the new account number, User ID and Application ID

The only thing that will be sent by post is the password

Am I being paranoid? as I thought email was anything but secure

I have emailed the bank in question expressing my concerns

So do they ..... that's why they're splitting the key data into two separate communication channels. Fairly industry standard for online accounts.
