Cohabiting following divorce

Hello, everyone.

I left my ex husband in January 2005 and the divorce finally came through in summer 2007.

On the financial side of things, I got the house less £14,500 which has to be paid in trust to my sons if a) I re-marry b) if I co-habit or c) when both my sons reach the age of 18.

What I need to know is... what exactly IS cohabiting? Is there a maximum number of nights per week someone can stay with you before they are considered to be living with you.....?

Liz

My solicitor put this sort of offer forward to my soon to be ex husband but b) was stated if i cohabit for a period of 6 months or more.

Maybe ask your solicitor as im sure every case is unique.

If you have a new partner and he/she lives with you more than they do at theirs?
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

think it's moving in with each other for 6 months plus, my boss has just gone through this and got his £80k from his ex now she has been living with her fella for that long "officially", however had been living with each other for about 15 months.

also think it's 3 nights a week, could be classed as co-habiting.
