Fashion World not Clearing Paid off Debts off Record

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know about this.

I handle the affairs of a deaf friend of mine as she cannot use the phone.

She has never been able to get credit and never knew why, even things like contract phones. The only debts she has is her mortgage.

So I signed her up to creditexpert and she was horrified to see that it showed that she was still owing £950 to Fashion World.

We contacted the company and the debt has been cleared off.

It just goes to show how important it is to check if you think there is something iffy going on.

This one mistake made her quality of life lower than what it would have been. (though I keep explaining it was good as she's not in debt!).

Not being able to get credit ought to be a positive thing, not a negative, as it stops you getting into debt!!

Other than a sensible mortgage (and not overstretching yourself), borrowing is a mugs game, and it's much better to spend money you actually have rather than credit!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

It's only a mugs game if you can't control yourself, if you have more willpower than a Amy Winehouse infront of a large pile of 'something' then it can be a very useful tool, making you money, saving you money and giving you extra protection.

Blacksheep1979 hits the nail on the head (again). As our boy :money:says, "debt isn't bad: bad debt is bad".

What does he mean by "bad debt"? Well, "bad debt" is any debt that you have not done your due diligence, including budgeting, before taking on that debt.
