Dell and shipping costs

I'm looking to order 2 laptops from Dell.

Has anyone any experience trying to get them to lower their shipping costs ?
The 2 systems come to about 600 quid and they want 2 lots of shipping and having working in a dispatch dept for a while I know full well that the 35 quid their charging is way over what it really costs to send them.

If I call them rather than ordering through the web will I be able to get them to reduce this ??

Try it.. and ask for a price reduction if you are ordering 2, works for some!
Also, have you gone through quidco? Think you get 6% off the total price. Won't be much but would essentially mean 'free' delivery

    Check the Deals,
Dell usually do "Free Delivery" for some of their Laptops / Desktops. If you look you might get the same laptops with free delivery.

    free delivery is often offered
failing that dont order online call them up talk to someone in india they always need to meet sales targets and will give you various deals
The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.
