baffled by home insurance quote forms

I am recently separated and the othe half dealt with all things financial
Today I got a renewal letter about the building and contents insurance
last year was £391 this year its supposed to be £511 ( no claims made)
I tried to do a quote online...it asks for value of house, then an amount for rebuilding the house, how do i know the rebuild cost? also it asks about flat roofs and the only roof thats flat is the garage does that count?
I am at a loss..I need to sort this as I am only earning minimum wage and its already a struggle...and 511 is way to high
help with questions appreciated
