Could be SPAM but would need more information as to content, subject, sender and your email provider.

Try sending your self an email.

Virgin probably offer a "webmail" service. This means you can visit their website, and log in to your account. From where you can check your emails.

The password will probably be the same password you use to connect to Virgin, and username will probably be part of (or all of) your email address. It should be obvious.

Try checking your emails this way, and deleting these 16 emails if they're still there. At least you'll be able to see any emails you've since received. You could even delete all the emails (once you've read them of course!)

Hopefully, having done this, it will clear out whatever gremlins there have been.

Not promising anything though. But at least you can check your emails this way pending a proper solution.

Common thing with NTL and now Virgin email.

    visit http://webmail.ntlworld.com

Login there using your email address and password and as John S says above you will need to delete the 16 emails there that keep coming down. If you can't do it for some reason (It doesn't always let you) I can help you using Telnet but I would need you to PM me your username and password or you can call virgin Tech Support... Up to you :)

I used to work @ NTL Tech Support and came across that one a lot.
  • Thanks everyone, for some unknown reason it is working ok today, but i will keep your advice on file.
