Holding Cash in a Stocks and Shares ISA

I've got a Stocks and Shares ISA. In the current volatile times, I considered selling a few stocks and holding cash. But within the Stocks and Shares ISA, the interest rate on cash is only 2%. If I withdraw the cash to a better savings account I lose the tax advantages forever.
Is there a fund or ETF that is as safe as, say a building society and pays 5 or 6 % with no more risk to the capital than a building society?

Isnt moving the money now a bit late?

There are other options as well such as fixed interest funds, gilt funds etc.

no. Funds in the fixed interest sectors (corporate bond, gilts, other bonds, fixed interest, index linked).

Do note though that not all fixed interest funds are low risk. Like most sectors, you get higher and lower risk versions within the sector.
