Traditional pasties also used to have pastry so tough that they could safely be dropped down a mineshaft and not break! Sometimes jam up one end too for dessert.0

Just to let you all know the pasty recipes were delicious!
Have worked my way through all the recipes now
And also send off for the be-ro cookbook, received it today what a brilliant book :T
when I think of all the money I've spent on cookery books in the past I would only have needed this one!
