Hi,
I need to restore my laptop back to factory settings to resolve some major issues, re word not working,a security update not working and lost emails (according to my isp, my files may be corrupted!). So to make life easy i have took all my photos, music and docs off and put onto dvd to reinstall later.I have managed to get emails from oe6 before onto my desktop and then burn to disc to save the folders. Thing is, i cannot for the life of me remember what or how to do it!! LOL....can anybody help or maybe jog my ageing memory....pretty please...i am almost nearly ready for factory restore but just stuck on this one..(or hope its only one thing!!!)
Thanks guys,
Lorraine.

Hi Lorraine,
From memory I am pretty sure you can just drag and drop.
What I would do is create a folder on your desktop. Launch Outlook Express, highlight all the emails you want to keep and then drag them into the folder onto the desktop.
Burn that folder to disk and check the disk has the emails on it before restoring settings.
Once your machine is restolred you can then drag the emails back from the disk into Outlook Express

Hi,
Yes i thought i did that last time, but failed to work this time! I managed a workaround, i sent them to my googlemail and returned them once i factory restored. It seems to have worked out ok, although took a while todo,
Many thanks for your help,

You should just be able to export them as a CSV file, then import then again at the other end.0
