I bought a chocolate fountain for our upcoming wedding but where do I get the chocolate for it from?Don't think I can use 'normal' tesco's or aASDA's stuff - doesn't it need to be be a bit waterier?

Cadbury's and a drop of sunflower/olive oil. There are guides for how much chocolate to use but in ours (well my wifes
) she used 750g of normal chocolate, heated it over a pan and added a teaspoon of oil and was plenty enough for about 15 of us with some left over...

In Tesco or ASDA baking section, you get huge big slabs of their own brand chocolate for about 50p (the cake covering type) - mix with a spoonful of oil and it'll last for ages - if it's for a wedding, with lots of guests, you might want to buy quite a few bars.
A friend of mine had this at her wedding, but had two fountains, one with milk, one with white chocolate - delicious!!!!
She used all sorts of 'dippers' ranging from custard creams, grapes, banana, strawberries, marshmallows etc. She used cocktail sticks instead of skewars - saves people taking too many dippers at once.0 -
Thorntons sell the chocolate to go in the fountains too.0

Thanks for the replies.
I shall mix 50% tesco's cheapie chocolate with 50% Cadburys chocolate, a tiny splash of contriou and a little vegetable oil.
Do I leave this to set overnight?
Will it stay runny enough to pour in the fountain?0 -

Melt 200g of milk choc into 200ml of double cream, in a saucepan over a low heat. Gradually stir in 5cl Baileys and add 2 tbs of hazelnut oil. Then pour mix into the fountain.
We also dunk brownie chunks and bread sticks..............at a wedding add a NO double dipping rule!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
