Hi I recently upgraded from IE6 to IE7 after avoiding it for ages as I did not like the layout at the top but now giving in as I like how tabs work and had to give in eventually.
Anyway since upgrading my autocomplete does not work even though it is set to work. I have tried unchecking all the boxes to turn it off and then checking them again after a restart but it seems not to make any difference.
Any ideas?
I am using XP home and nothing has changed except I upgraded to IE7 and I upgraded my AVG 7 to AVG8 but cannot see that that has any effect on autocomplete unless anyone knows different.
Any help appreciated

Hi,
Try Tools>Advanced Options and make sure Use Inline Autocompelte is ticked.
If not then,, stick the following in a notepad file and rename it ie7.reg. Run it and then see if autocomplete works.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel] "FormSuggest Passwords"=dword:00000001 "FormSuggest"=dword:000000010 -

Hi nads I thanks for the help, the box in advanced was not ticked so I ticked it and ok'd it and restarted just in case but it did not work. I then successfully added the registry bit sucessfully and restarted but still no success. Please say you have another idea.0
