Hi,
For some bizarre reason, WMP 10 has stopped playing any of my WMVs and won't start when I double-click the desktop shortcut.
How can I uninstall WMP 10 and reinstall it (from a newly downloaded copy from Microsoft) when I can't find it listed in either XP's "Add and Remove Programs" or Revo Uninstaller?
I don't want WMP 11, before anyone suggests it. Thanks.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated?
Ta.

Try downloading and installing anyway; http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx0

Go into Control Panel, Add Remove Programs
If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, select the Show updates check box (at the top of the list), click Windows Media Player 10 (in the Windows Updates section), and then click Change/Remove.
- or -
If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 1 or earlier, click Windows Media Player 10, and then click Change/Remove.0 -
But if you try to remove WMP you will only have the option of rolling it back to version 9 .0

WMP is a windows component. To remove it from the operating system completely is a slightly different process in the add remove windows component section instead of add remove programs.
I don't actually think it removes it though, just sort of hides it from windows and all the menus, simiar to removing IE really...0 -
I wouldnt recommend removing it. Try installing 11 instead:idea:0

I found this page:-
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/previousversions.aspx
which appears to have 4 previous versions.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0
