I'm interested in buying a property in Tunisia. Does anyone have any contacts/ advice on the best areas to invest, or the procedures?

All i know is that i would never enter a market i never knew and if i had to take advice of a internet forum...well lets say theres always someone waiting in the wings to help you with your money in these far off places......It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Tunisia is set to boom, just like Morocco a few years ago. I wasnt just looking for advice in a forum, I was looking for contacts.
Thanks for the useful responseLiving the good life spending all my money but loving it!!0 -

Hi a7man
There is a company I have used to buy through in Tunisia called Mayfair Developments, www.mayfairdevelopments.com
They were very good and offer properties from £20,000. The site is called The Dunes golf & spa resort. I had viewed through other agents in Tunisia however they all struck me as being a bit dodgy. These guys were very professional and I believe I have made a sound investment. Hopefully if things go the same way as Morocco I can triple my investment in 3 years. Good luck!

there was also a forum for overseas property butying on channel4.com/homes:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Buy in Tunisia and lose money. I did invest in Morocco - no boom as yet though0

And you don't think a lack of mortgage finance might put a spoke in the wheel of this tripling in 3 years? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
