Yeah if everyone stopped buying these overpriced wii fits then retailers would have no option but to bring the price down to whats reasonable - they are just being greedy and thats why i refuse to buy one from the likes of Viking Direct etc

Trouble is you will always get someone daft enough to buy them. I want a Wii Fit as much as the next person but only at the RRP no more, and will happily keep searching until I get one.

I've been told today there's no shortage in Scotland - is this right? My colleagues friend bought 5 back the other week, but I can't see why people close to the border wouldn't just drive and get them??? I'm guessing I was told a porkie?

has anyone actually received a wii fit from amazon france or germany or wherever and made sure they work ok? only asking cos I got someone at work who speaks fluent german to email a company that were selling them in germany (that i got off another forum on wii fits) to ask whether they would play in english and the reply from the company was that they had checked with the manufacturer and theres no way to have the wii fit from germany play in english. thats the only thing thats stopping me from ordering one from abroad -so if someone knows otherwise for definate will they let us know???

According to a message a few pages back:

"1) Manual for wii ft board is in 11 languages 1st being English.(this has how to look after/trouble shooting problems etc)
2) Glossy Game Manual is in French but English version can be down loaded from Nintendo site
3) Board uses batteries so NO plug adapter needed.
4) AS your console will be setup for English (mine is & I live in France). All games with English on them will automatically play the English version. Wii fit- is a 5 language version inc English.

As for Germany, should be the same only gaming manual my only be in German. Both .de & .fr have all your UK login details/address/card details so shouldnt be a problem using it. Just double check it is coming from Amazon not a market place. I checked both sites yesterday & they had stock.
If you go to site a type Wii fit , it should come then click on basket sign and should be same layout as UK."

I've also seen the German Wii Fit being sold on Ebay UK if that helps.

EDIT: Have done a bit more hunting around for you and found various messages on forums from people saying that the German Wii Fit works just fine with in the UK - same provisos apply as those with the French Wii Fit, as mentioned above.
