Thanks zebdeew, I've been sat in front of my pc for days now searching for a Wii Fit.
Thought I'd try the direct phone approach as you suggested, As it is now 15:45 pm I wasn't holding out much hope but sure enough they had stock. so hopefully it is now on its way to me.0 -
Is anyone still waiting for a refund from Play.com re the 17 Sept Fiasco? I've sent 3 seperate claim forms which they say they have not received & until they get a form they cannot do anything. I've even sent one form by recorded delivery but unfortunately Royal Mail website cannot confirm delivery yet! I get nowhere by phoning & they will not put me through to anyone more senior to speak to. Their address for the claim form is a Freepost so i'm planning on bombarding them with claim forms on a daily basis until i get my refund- postage cost on them!! I have never experienced such dreadful customer service & whilst i've used Play.com many times before wth no problem. i will never consider buying from them again- regardless how cheap they may be. If anyone has any ideas on getting what is owed to me I would be really grateful for any advice.0

I rang this morning after returning my forms last Friday and was told they have a lot of forms to go through but haven't had a chance yet. They were hoping to get through the forms today or tomorrow and if I hadn't heard anything by Monday, to give them a call.
Given that Play have always been reasonable in the past, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt until midday on Monday. If I have not heard by then I will give them another call and if they fail to offer a resolution when I call I will be contacting my credit card company (Capital One) to dispute the transaction.
If people have had their fill of Play's customer support (or apparent lack there of) I would suggest contacting your CC company or bank regarding the matter.

As an update to my last post, I have just received my refund notification email from Play.com. As I say, I returned my forms last Friday night (26th) via standard first class in a post box if this helps at all.

Just ordered mine from argos by phoneing them - its arriving on Monday.

Have just managed to track down and purchase a Wii Fit from Zavvi @£69.00. Purchased at 14:31 on 02.10.08.
Must go through 3rd party website http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/wii-fit-alerts.php
I don't know why but if you go direct it still says it's out of stock!

I have finally got my refund ,i sent my claim form back recorded delivery but i,m still not happy about the whole saga ,is there anything more we can do to get a real answer as to where the orders went .0

I have decided - after calling then twice and sending three emails, no response !! No form received to date !! :mad:
I would be calling my credit card company for charge back and disputed payment. This step will certainly impact their credit rating as every seller needs to maintain certain percentage of refunds ... if we can all pull it up ... might be a slight increase in that. I have finally been told my refund is going through, I spoke to Susan who was very understanding and actually listened instead of the Managers attitude.
She thanked me for my politeness and I thanked her for her help. Maybe susan should apply for the managers job!
I have looked at the play site and that says refund on it but not showing in my bank yet but it was only 5 minutes ago!0
