yes, install property bee!
You'll also see if theyve reduced the price, and when - fab tool, works with Rightmove:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Although it doesn't work for all agents and is misleading if the agent has changed, you can find how long a property has been on the market by going to http://www.upmystreet.com/ and searching for the postcode. Click on the link to read the neighbourhood profile.
At the bottom of the profile page is another link to search for property for sale in the postcode.
On the first property result page is a search form - click on the Find button. You now get a list of properties radiating out from this postcode, and the information of when they went on sale with the agent. It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

get property hive to go with it..its amazing
I downloaded it and installed it. Launched it, it said it was loading data. Nothing... even though I have over 58,000 lines of property bee data on my PC
So today, 2 weeks after I first tried, I installed it again, direct from the hive website... launched it, it said it was loading data. Still nothing.
And there's no clue why not. In a previous version of property bee I moved the data destination; in this version there seems no option for that. I wonder if the answer lies in the paths. But I am unable to change the path in either application.0 -
The full and real answer is that there is no way to tell how long a property has been on the market. There are a few ways you can look, but no way to tell.
- if you have property bee, and somebody has searched that area before you, then you will see historical data from any searches performed by other people that covered that property bee. But property bee was only launched in January so nothing is dated prior to that.
- upmystreet tells you when data was last updated, but only with that agent
- if a property changes agents you'd never know
- propertysnake reports how long a property has been on the market for, with the current agent, but propertysnake only shows property that has been reduced and does not draw its information from rightmove
The only way to really know is to ask the owner/EA. But even so they might give you a misleading answer. e.g. an EA might only tell you roughly how long they've had it on their books, it might have been on for 3 years with other agents...0
