I've been waiting and watching for the last 6 months for this item to come up on ebay in the right size for my daughter. I bought one when she was newborn and loved it. Then bought another in the next size up for £10 and the seller (100% record up til then) went off the map and got over 60 negs in 2 days...strangely enough, I never recieved it!
So, I was overjoyed to see the same item come up in the right size by another power seller...but looked at their (private) feedback, I'm a little concerned by the number of negs, EVEN considering the 1000 or so transactions they do each month.
Plus, the other thing ringing warning bells is the list of quoted feedback in the auction description, when you click through, is all from transactions in Sept/Oct 2004....hmm.... Am I being oversuspicious?

What do you think?

I've not used ebay for a while so this may seem like a silly question, but....
since when could you make feedback private??
I thought this was the foundation stones of ebay!
And, for what it's worth, I would not do business with someone with that many negs, or anyone who wanted to make their feedback private for that matter.0 -
I dont know much about Ebay, but I think you should give this item a miss. It seems to be trouble in the making0

55 NEGATIVES IN THE PAST MONTH !!!!!!
I wouldn`t go near this auction. no wonder his feedback is private.
Save your pennies and wait for another one to come on,
i`ve been waiting for a time for a bag which has just come up now. I didn`t bid on the last one that was on as the seller had 97% feedback and that wasn`t good enough for my pennies to be parted with !
Bear in mind paypal. If you do decide to bid, pay with paypal then you can always file a claim if the item doesn`t show up.Debt Free Jan 2010!(Be happy) the state of your life is nothing more than the state of your mind! X:j0 -
Pretty much echoing what I think. No matter how many 1000s of things you sell in a month, that might explain 1 or 2 idiot customers who complain with no reason, but certainly not 55. They seem to sell all sorts of clothes, so I probably think some of the items are fake - hence the neutrals and negs. Some people neutral for fake, others neg. Unlikely to get neutralled in that number if items weren't turning up at all.
I think you are all right and I'll steer clear! Just have to have another daughter that can fit into the small size one LOL.0 -

I've bought from close to that mark too masonic. But never with so many negs and in such a short time. Or private.
I wouldn't touch it with my worst enemies bargepole0 -
I wouldn't buy from anyone with private feedback either. If a seller has made many sales, I also tend to regard a positive feedback rating of less than 99% with suspicion. I once bought from a seller with a much lower percentage, but after only a few sales, and in that case I did get my stuff OK... eventually, after sending a reminder saying how I wouldn't want to have to neg them because I could see how important it was for a newish seller in their position to build up a good feedback score.0

Having looked at some of the feedback that he's used in his listing, they seem to be from last year or early this year.

You can make feedback private. It is in the feedback preferences. But once you have done it you can't change it back again.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
