Today in Lord St, Liverpool I got

Thorntons Christmas Collection chocs 190g for £1.99 (ideal pressie for teachers!) same as these from Wilko

The £1.99 set of chocolate models I mentioned yesterday, on closer inspection turned out to be Thorntons Penguin Pals which are £4.00 in Boots

Also picked up a Father-Christmas-shaped carton of mini Milka bars for 99p.

Thorntons in my store too.

The Penguin Pals were 1.49 (these had been £3 in Debenhams (i got them with the £5 vouchers a few wekks back)). They also had a set of 3 chocolate characters, Santa with 2 reindeers, these were 1.99, these had been £4 in Debenhams.

These was a christmas box of fudge and toffee, total weight over £450gm for £2.49, RRP £4.99.

Lindt - 4 small chocolate reindeers and 1 santa for £1.29 or £1.39, RRp £2.69

Thanks for clearing that up, I knew the things I'd seen yesterday had 3 in for £1.99 but when I looked for them in a different branch today I could only see the Penguin Pals, that was why I got mixed up!

I saw Star Wars light sabres in HB today... different colours etc.... didnt pay much attention to price but I reckon it may have been 5.99 ??

I managed to get disney Princess dressing up outfit too... they were £4.99 - a long sleeved top and seperate skirt - there was cinderella, sleeping beauty, and belle

They also had HSM cheerleader dresses in smaller sizes 5-8 still 2.49

Iggle Piggle outfits too and Britannia High dresses

As well as Natvity outfits (just in case anyone hasnt managed to sort an outfit for upcoming school nativty !!)

They also had sets of Strawberry Shortcakes at very low prices

Think that was about it.....

Forgot to mention... I was trying to hunt down an item at HB the other day and rang their CS - they were VERY helpful and tracked down the item for me...

For anyone who visits the Mansfield store, they've had fantastic Shrek Forever After soft toys for 99p!! Bought donkey, shrek and puss

They also have the £2.99 Buzz Lightyear model kits, as well as the larger buzz and spaceship kit (think it's £7.99? might be wrong) and various other toy story items (stickers, a big plastic drawing pad, etc.)

Thorntons' penguin pals are also in the mansfield store for £1.49. Bought 3! Would recommend if you need a nice present for a couple but don't want to spend too much.

In hillsborough, sheffield store today:

- childrens christmas collection DVD (10 tv episodes things older things mummys (kids in the 80/90s) will remember like Budgie and Gran, then postman pat, cliffords puppy days etc -- 1h 50mins --> 2.99 (they had LOADS of other films on DVD as well some were ex-woolworths stock - they said woolworths on them!)

- cadburys pure chocolate bag - approx 22 mini flakes, dairy milks, buttons and twirls - fab for stockin fillers - £1.99

- cadburys mini heros - £2.99

- choccy santas (60g) --> 49p

- m&m chocolate pouch (185g) --> £1

- net of mini choc santas (14) --> 59p (gonna stick some ribbon on them and use them for tree chocs)

- bbq sauce --> 69p
