Got some McVities Fruit Cakes for 49p in Ripon HB. For a quick pud I slice into big chunks and serve with custard (gently heated together in the microwave) - it makes a lovely pretend spotted !!!!!! when you are in a rush. I got a few to stash away in the freezer.

Meant to say that on Tuesday Telford HB had a Jane Asher Christmas Cake set in a box. It was rather pricy at £4.99 but i assume this is much cheaper than the likes of Tesco etc

The HB in Farnworth, Bolton have some great clear storage boxes with lids in for 99p. They are probably about twice the size of a shoe box. Will be good for storing lego, toys, craft stuff etc.

Lots of Dora and Diego kids books v. cheap - either 29p or 39p, in Belle Vale and London Road Liverpool Home and Bargains. Also Diego sticker book 69p.
