My niece is five in a fortnight, so I picked up a few books to go in with her birthday stash. (Trongate, Glasgow).
"Where's Hello Kitty? Fashion Star" seems to be some sort of activity book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wheres-Hello-Kitty-Fashion-Star/dp/0007487584
And "The Cat In The Hat - Knows A Lot About That!" book entitled "A Long Winter's Nap" (assume the other titles in the series will be out there, too).

I wonder whether you could add a saline eye drop or two to your eyeliner to loosen it up a bit? It works for mascara...They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -

I was just going to suggest the same thing! I've done this with liquid eyeliner before and its worked for me...I used a couple of drops of water from the kitchen tap though...seemed to work well.SPC7 ~ Member#390 ~ £432.45 declared :j

A week or two ago I got a rimmel gel eyeliner (I paid £5 for the same in another colour) and a lip gloss that's £4.50 on ASOS.

I forgot to say, when in went in the other day, I bought some plant pots as my kitchen herbs had outgrown their supermarket pots. These are about 4 times the volume of a standard supermarket herb pot, biodegradable and come in packs of 3.
Did some repotting the other evening and was happy with them. A real bargain.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I know someone's mentioned this on the 99p store thread but don't think it's been on here.
Poundland had some 2L bottles of diet coke and varieties, citrus, cherry etc by the tills this week. Looks like Coke are selling off their remaining 2L bottles 'cheap' now they're repackaging bottles to 1.75L. Cheeky !!!!!!s!
Also picked up a 2 pack of Astor nail varnishes. I don't know what the quality's like yet but they had some great colours and 2 in a pack is a good bargain! They also had other packs with one nail varnish and one eyeshadow.
Also picked up a 3 pack of iba scented candles. Think I saw them on the Home Bargains thread for 99p with good reviews, but got them while I saw them. Splashed out on an extra 1p.:rotfl:

The other day I was working from home and had a "no make-up" day - used the Witchdoctor tinted moisturiser, Astor lip stain and mascara from Poundland, a light powder blusher and eye pencil from MUA (also £1) and couldn't believe the overall effect! I felt like the five buck supermodel :rotfl:
