thank you, I was in the Dundee store yesterday and as I was going to join the que I remembered your post and went off again to look for those and managed to pick a couple up :)
Let's hope we get some more sun, they look quite good don't they, think the wee box look's worth a £. I had a look in the new poundsmart store downstairs then went up to poundland & bought stuff. They had signs up saying they are not connected to poundsmart store wonder what that's about??

Poundland Wrexham has flip flops and ladies and gents straw hats. Also, Al Murray's "Road to Berlin" Discovery documentary on DVD and Alan Bennett's "History Boys" hardback book.
  • Hi! This is probably a really silly question but I have only recently started venturing into Poundland and on my travels discovered a "99p Store" in the same area. Is this the same as Poundland or a different company?

I'd a look at the store downstairs and didn't think much of it.

I heard one of the cashiers of poundland talking to a customer about it before it opened, I think the staff of poundland were worried about the impact of the new store would have on their trade and were letting customers know that they were in no way linked to the new store, I don't think they've anything to be worried about though :)

Really nice "Wizardology" Book - Guide to the world's wizards and wizard card game in Ramsgate poundland. These were well over a tenner in Smiths and currently £7.49 on Amazon and make lovely presents/stocking fillers.

Along with all the excellent variants of Johnson's Holiday Skin[2for£1]and neutrogena on offer, I spotted yet more new solar lights. One is in a long cane holder, beacon style[and very stylish], another is a frosted dome. I am so impressed by their vast range of solar lights - and they last! Wall mounted, columnar, floating, in addition to a dozen or so standard types - and 'rocks'[if you want them, not pour moi] More good books in - INXS biog. for dahnunda fans.
Supersproncey twinpack Andrex was being unpacked, too - but I am happy enough with their 6rolls per £, better for some country sewerage systems.

Ours (Liscard, Wirral) is selling the imitation Alexandr Meerkat soft toy, complete with his maroon velvet robe. Really sweet, and dare I say it, would make a great stocking filler for Christmas! Stands 8" tall.
