Well just been to boots with my mum and nan and met a dragon of an SA!

Same woman who served me yesterday and let me use the TD mag coupon with till spit but wouldnt let my mum, she said it wouldn't work, i asked her to scan it and see so she did and it did work, then mum had got 2 TS items - long hair shampoo and serum, tried to use mag coupon for this and SA said oh its not working so she deducted an amount, came to £9 odd, I said I dont think thats right can you check it and so she cancelled everything off including the TD mag coupon and refused to rescan it meanwhile my nan was at a diff till buying the same products using the same coupons yet my nan had to pay £3 odd and received 212 points my mum had to pay £9 and got 36 points. Mum was too shy to say anything and seeing as the SA muttered under her breath 'thief' i dont blame her. so i took my mums receipt and my nans receipt and took them to tills at other side of store explained what happened and got given a refund. of £6.

Felt bad for my mum though cos it must have put her off.

If I was you, I would be complaining to the store manager about that SA calling your Mum a thief - presumably her name is on the till receipt? She may not like you getting all those bargains but that's her problem. There is NO reason for her to call a customer a thief just because they're using vouchers and till spits - I have to say I admire your restraint - if someone called my lovely Mum a thief in front of me then the resulting fall out would have been quite spectactular!

In other news, Mr Buffy Bat waddled out of Boots this lunchtime with rather a lot of No7, Mitchum, and Time Delay stuff. Will post a report later when we get home (and I have inspected the stash, which includes another one of those lovely ltd ed new No7 eyeshadows :A)

P.S. If anyone thinks I sit around like Lady Muck while he spends all his money on makeup for me, I do give him the money for it...Plus I very kindly let him use 3 of the No7 vouchers for No7 For Men stuff :D

Did she actually make you choose which one you wanted there and then? Either way it's insane, as if Boots would do something that complicated for customers - the majority of whom just bin these vouchers (myself previously having been one of them:eek: ).
No thank goodness i just said ok and walked out. The manager was stood at the till too so may be she has been told to say it and they do expect us to throw away the other voucher, like that is going to happen although i can see we will soon be struggling to get anything for free or cheap as the wipes and cleanser had been cleared out already. Or is this just the store removing them then when the vouchers end they will all appear again as if by magic lol
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
    but i want never gets!!!
  • Buffy I am toying with trip to Cambridge tomorrow - have the shelves been cleared of tan maintainer and TS long hair serum yet?!

Hmm yes - probably same fairy that removes the H&B mags. My store had them at front entrance ever since they came out and on changeover day they had all vanished. But LOL I found them hiding at back of shop near photo section.:D

This is the old MF gwp. As it is an old one you may not find it in your store.

Probably not a MASSIVE difference but for younger people the blacker the better I reckon - brown/black is more flattering for more mature faces.....

    Just my opinion - HTH!

    ;)
damn! only had blk/brown in my store so didn't get it as I usually use black, perhaps it's time to erm admit I have a more 'mature face' and get the blk/brown to see if it is more flaterring .....well nothing to lose it is free!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyone know whether the other MF GWP is still knocking about or has that finished now?
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

I think the city centre store is ok, not sure about the others. Although OH did say that Time Delay stuff under £5 was already looking decidedly sparse - and some ******* had been opening the packets of wipes

  • Ok thanks. Not sure whether to go to Cambridge or Bluewater. DH might try to tag along if I go to Cambridge. Maybe I should fib where I'm going.
