Hi Lupyloo. My brother-in-law died very quickly on Saturday morning too. much like your dad he had been very poorly but there was no indication this would happen this soon. We were all there for him and are just trying to hold my partner's sister together as she is only 23 and should not be having to deal with something this awful at her age.
Please PM me if you want to talk. I am going to get back to the nice distracting boots thread, broclo any more pee vs V box stories to cheer us up would be much appreciated lol :rotfl:

have to say I was the same, had no child locks, no safety gate, no fire guard, left all ornaments etc out and told DS "no" or "hot" or "ouch" or "don't touch" etc and he was fine, he soon learned the "Paddington Bear stare" (anyone old enough to remember that lol) meant don't touch and as he got older he would go towards things, stop, look at me and say "what does mummy say.. don't touch!":rotfl:

Oh Pash! Brilliant, you are all cheering me up on this extremely wet tuesday morning.

I'm going to practise my PBS! I forgot about that! :rotfl:

this morning, I said to DH, give DS his bottle in his bed. A couple of seconds later, I can hear DS drinking but DH has not come back to bed.... I look up and he is leaning over cot feeding him. I said, no, I meant lie DS down and give him his bottle to hold, not you feed him." Oh sorry, says DS, I thought you meant I had to feed him. How sweet is that? I never make DH feed DS unless he wants to because he works 7 days a week, is giving me housekeeping so I can stay at home to look after DS, and feel that getting up at 5.30am every day is enough without having to feed DS in middle of night too! By the way, this was 6am that DS wanted feeding. Would not give DS bottle in bed in middle of night. I always feed him.

So DS has sussed I want a quick lie in, he stands up and through the gap in bars, grabs DH's legs and starts stroking them! Welllllllllll, that was it, suckered! DH says oh, look, he wants me to hold him, he's stroking my leg. He takes him out of bed! Brings him to our bed, and I said, DS, you have got Daddy wrapped around your little finger!

Ooh, looking forward to till spits. Will make a trip tomorrow, sure can think of something to buy for £5... no clearance at Boots in Harrow though, so TD will be 1/3 off or whatever they are doing now. Mind you, quite like handcream... hmmm.
  • Morning all,

Can sympathise with the mummys (and daddys) on here that have toddler touching syndrome going on. I have 33 month old boy/girl twins who keep me on my toes!! I have had to childproof virtually everything and my home looks like something off "Americas Toughest Prisons" - baby gates, stairgates everywhere. I just dont manage to keep my eyes on them both at once! They go in different directions to try and get me on the hop!

Back to Boots. Does anyone on here buy vouchers from ebay. The reason Im asking is because Ive seen someone selling a book of vouchers with the Oral B one in it and the 750 clinique blah di blah. I was quite interested but wanted any feedback on peoples thoughts about this?? Must dash now the terrible two are gathering round the PC!!

    xx

Yeah I second what's been said about phoning CS first. They're usually much nicer (and have a better grasp of their own store's policies ) than some in store staff. Ask for a reference number which you can then give to the SA if they argue with you, I think it allows any CS member to see what you were originally told by CS, so they can confirm it to the in-store SA... if that makes sense?
Just because they can be reeeallly funny about a: returning items which aren't sold at that store (I'm just guessing your local doesn't have a benefit counter?) and b: returning cosmetics. I know because I've had so much hassle just trying to return a few Clinique skincare items - one of which was sent by boots.com in error!

Actually if you see this in time, which products did she use? Although they'll probably have used loads, you might be able to narrow it down. Powder/eyeshadow type products are least likely to cause a reaction as they are not absorbed by the skin to nearly the same level. The cream/gel/liquid products are most likely to cause the reaction, so if you bought something like that I would return it.

Thanks for that, no I don't have a Benefit counter at any of my locals.

It was a "facial" make up lesson, so she used so much stuff on my skin, moisturiser, then a tinted moisturiser, 2 diff foundations, concealer, cheek tint and another couple at the end to "make me sparkle" I told her how dry my skin was so the majority of what she used was cream/liquid etc as she said I should avoid powder if possible. It might not even be either of the products I bought, but just don't wanna take the chance as my face is red raw :o and that's £40 worth of stuff that I wont even try again
    Started comping 29/10/2010

Does anyone know if you can use all three at once on the facial 50+stuff?

I dont know if its worth the hassle?

    Pigsback Points : 99 :o (£40 boots vouchers received!)
    Quidco : £16.89 (£184.90 paid) :T

Ive used the 500 pts suncare. Wasnt lucky enough to have one of the 500 pts P&P one. If the £5 off is the suncare till spit, Im afraid that is over now - cant remember what date it finished but I know it has.

When I used the 500 pts suncare I got 2x lip and eye thing 5.75 bogof and two hair spritz bogof and a GWP too (the make up pallette one). Went through fine for me. Im not sure but I think the lip and eye thing is a P&P product (think I read this on the thread). So perhaps you could do:

    2 x lip and eye bogof 5.75
    2x hair spritz bogof 5.75
    gwp free
    use both vouchers
pay 11.50 with 1000 points back. Worst case scenario you would like me just get the 500 pts back facial suncare as the lip and eye thing comes under this. It has a slight subtle sparkle to it and I personally knew I would use this all year round on my lips as a lip salve kind of thing. Seen similar ideas on a well known shopping channel sell for three times the price!

  • Popped into boots and got 2 of the johnsons bags reduced to £2.50, SEL still said £9.99! Thanks to OP!

Also calling all people who make nappy cakes, where do you get your cake boards from and what size do you use?

You can get them in Asda; Tesco etc I use a 10" board hth
  • On this wet morning I too am fighting whether to go out i.e. to Boots to use coupons that expire today.

    If I buy:
    No7 spf 50+ dark spot stuff 10.50
    No7 tan maintainer 10.00 BOGOF
    No7 gwp

Will the till think I've spent £20.50 and allow me to use PC £5 off wys £20 on No7/Ruby & Millie?

If not, are there still extra points on Ruby & Millie and can I combine No7 and RM purchases to total £20 or does it need to be £20 of one or the other?

    TIA
