Hey everyone. Went to a Boots today which isn't really local to me. I had a make up lesson type thing booked with the lady at the Benefit counter, so went and she did my make up for me. Obviously it was a sales pitch, but I knew that it would be. There's an offer of 500 points wyb 2 products just now so I bought 2 that she used on me, however, since I left the shop my face had a bit of a reaction. Obviously I don't know what product has caused the reaction, so I now want to return them both, but my local don't stock Benefit.

Do you think my local will refund me anyway? Or will I have to go back to the shop I was at today?

Yeah I second what's been said about phoning CS first. They're usually much nicer (and have a better grasp of their own store's policies ) than some in store staff. Ask for a reference number which you can then give to the SA if they argue with you, I think it allows any CS member to see what you were originally told by CS, so they can confirm it to the in-store SA... if that makes sense?
Just because they can be reeeallly funny about a: returning items which aren't sold at that store (I'm just guessing your local doesn't have a benefit counter?) and b: returning cosmetics. I know because I've had so much hassle just trying to return a few Clinique skincare items - one of which was sent by boots.com in error!

Actually if you see this in time, which products did she use? Although they'll probably have used loads, you might be able to narrow it down. Powder/eyeshadow type products are least likely to cause a reaction as they are not absorbed by the skin to nearly the same level. The cream/gel/liquid products are most likely to cause the reaction, so if you bought something like that I would return it.
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)
  • Jellybaby i asked a few days ago but no one posted back so i wasn't sure if i was being cheeky asking as i am a very new newbie!I would be very greatful for either the £3 off huggies or the free gift pack one when you buy huggies at sainsbury's. Sorry I must have missed you asking, I tend to read backwards through the thread when I've not kept up properly and sometimes even then, I skim through for important glitches. :rotfl:
I messed up the first print out I did so only now have the one I've promised to yummymummycat. Although broclo kindly offered copies of the Huggies voucher via email a few pages back titled Unlimited Huggies. HTH.
    Welcome to Bootsing! :j

    Broclo,
Thanks for working out my No7 spend earlier.

LOL he sounds like my DS. DS understands firm "no", stops what he is doing, looks at me, cries for 3 seconds then does whatever it is again. seconds. If I put the cupboard locks on I know he will just pull them harder. He's very willful!!!!!!

mi55moneypenny!!!! I am sitting here with tears rolling down my face! We are having a very bad morning in our household, so I have longed on for a bit of TLC by reading MSE, and saw your post! I haven't been able to stop laughing and my DS started off smiling at me, now thinks I have gone completely bonkers.

Mine does the same! He stops when you say no, cries, then carries on! I don't know why, but seeing it written down by you, has really tickled me. Even now, when I read "cries for 3 seconds", it cracks me up again.

Children are brilliant! I love them! Boots extend the Boots parenting offers until they are 16 please!

    Thank you mi55moneypenny!:T
