Sky Freeview - Can I Get E4?

I have a normal Thomson box installed by sky for freeview purposes and I do not subscribe to sky but I am unable to get E4, does anyone know if I can do a scan or something to get it?
OR if I buy a new freeview box can I get it from my satellite dish?
I do have the box routed upstairs too and am able to change channels?
Thanks in advance for any help:beer:

I don't think you can get E4 'free' through a sky box as it's currently under one of their packages, you would need to buy a freeview box to see it.

I have FreeSat (works straight off your sky dish) and i get E4 so hope that helps

(when i had sky and finished the contract they turned E4 off!!)
If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right

If you get a freesat card from Sky you will get E4.

I know people who have Sky and they can't get E4 if they only have the basic package.

I have the basic Sky package it includes More4 and E4.
If you know people who can't then their equipment is at fault.
The freesat from Sky card is available for a one off £20 charge.
If you cancel your Sky subs then the card you already have reverts to freesat from Sky.

Oh fair enough, I'll let them know.
  • Hi,

I've just moved hous and cancelled my sky, it finished a few days before moving out and i couldn't get alot of the freeview channels. Sky block them as they are part of the mix and match packages. You can upgrade your card for a one off fee to receive them.

You are confusing Freeview (terrestrial aerial) and FreesatFromSky and "freesat" (BBC/ITV consortium).

However, I can confirm that E4 and More4 (and the "+1" versions) are broadcast "free to air" (FTA) via satellite and can be received on ANY digital satellite receiver without a viewing card.

If you can't then you have a fault.
