Thought this might be useful for anyone with a wedding coming up, as you don't often see offers on wedding magazines:

If you go through quidco, there is £4 cashback, so it should pay for itself.

    via the Books Direct site.

House Beautiful magazine, 12 issues for £12 by direct debit, plus Free BRITA Edition water filter jug worth £39. (This is the link) It's a big saving on the magazine price in itself, so getting a freebie as well seems like a good deal. I've used the brita filters before and they do make your tea taste better! especially if you're in a hard water area.

Quote: "With special technology, BRITA reduces chlorine, limescale and impurities to give you cleaner, clearer water, and the Edition's elegant design, convenient features and two-litre capacity, provides a stylish, more ecofriendly alternative to bottled water. "

    45 jugs now left ........ :j

Hi can someone let me know if I have read the terms and conditions properly, it took me ages to find them! If you sign up by direct debit, you cannot cancel within 12 months. Is this right?

    Many thanks for your advice

I am not sure about this particular magazine, but with the ones that I have subscribed to, I waited until they took the first amount and then cancelled (by telling bank, or cancelling on screen and also telling the magazine company). In the small print it does say that you can cancel at any point if you are not happy. Probably, if you wanted to then renew, you wouldn't be eligible for a new 'free' gift.

I'm super cautious and always thoroughly read t&c's now after receiving this email from The Magazine Group:

In recent weeks you seem to have made a number of magazine orders from the Magazine Group website.

May we take this opportunity to remind you of section ten of our terms & conditions:

The Magazine Group reserves the right to restrict access or refuse orders to anyone who in its opinion is abusing offers on the site. Such behaviour would include (but is not restricted to) repeated cancellations of direct debit offers and repeated cancellation of subscriptions before expiry of the full term. In such cases The Magazine Group will write to you to request you desist from further use of the site. In the case of any orders placed subsequent to this request, the customer shall be liable for the full annual subscription price of the magazine regardless of any cancellation of the subscription. The customer shall also be liable for all costs of The Magazine Group or the publisher in fulfilling the order and ensuring payment of the full subscription term.

    Yours sincerely,

ThreePM ltd for The Magazine Group
