Whats the best way to cancel once you've got the 3 mags?
I always just call my bank up then cancel the direct debit order. Write a reminder on calendar or mobile alert. That way you will not forget.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

Check your statement (online) and when you see they have debited your account with the amount (check that your subscriber reference is correct), cancel the following day. It has always worked that way for me.

Whenever I have tried to cancel a direct debit in the past via the bank counter, they have done so for me, but not before making a strong point of asking me to cancel with the company first/too.
I asked them why, they have told me that the company can still request the money, and send out the goods accordingly. Only, when they do not get their money, they will have sent out the goods and you will still be liable for paying for them.
Please, make sure you cancel with the company as well- either email, write a letter or call, but make sure you cancel properly.0 -

It goes without question that you also have to email the company in order to cancel the agreement. However the majority of these companies do state that you can cancel the agreement at anytime by cancelling the direct debit.0 -
