I always transpose the last 2 digits - that way if I ever need to contact them it looks realistic.

A bit unfair on the person with the number you used, though.

Get a free Flextel virtual number - point this to your real number and sit back. If things get out of hand, dump it and get another number allocated.

    :rotfl: Oops :rotfl:.

Actually, it's an unused work mobile number, always check when we take on a new employee they haven't given them 'my' number .

A better way is a more generic number, 07123456789 can sometimes work or 07000000000, sometimes they want the first three digits to be realistic so you may need to play around a bit more but trying to find something others wont have isn't so difficult.

Just means the theoretic little old lady who was given her first mobile so her adult children could check she was not in danger, is that bit less likely to get a call from a sales person speaking broken English and trying to sell her things she has no use for.

I couldn't get the address for Cosmopolitan from above to work unfortunately. Thanks for posting though.

I tried going directly from the magazine's own website and got a different offer:

12 issues for £15 plus free gift of Phil Smith Hairdryer and hair care set worth £42
