Just a quick snippet of information.
50% of all people who are declined a Nationwide Credit card have this decision overturned and are accepted if they appeal within the 14 days of the original decision.
I think they need to sort their scoring software out!

Source please?"I Assume I Need No Introduction"0 -
or maybe they are astute at getting extra info out of customers this way and see it worth the risk of rejecting customers to get them to make personal enquiries0

Sorry, can't say anymore.0

I don't see the significance of this. If only a small number of people actually bother to appeal, then the 50% makes sense. If everyone who was declined appealed against the decision, then I suspect it would be much less than 50% who are actually accepted after the appeal.
I think its important to remember this doesnt mean that 50% of people who apply and are declined, would then be accepted if they appealed. I would say a large majority of people simply don't bother, making 50% a bit misleading.0 -

If it is that you work for Nationwide, then I would be very careful about divulging things like that. It is also breaking terms and conditions of Employment putting sensitive information like that in the public domain.0
