Switching Delays with British Gas

Just a quick heads up for anyone who has applied to switch to British Gas - I completed the forms online last week for switch to click5.

I had to speak to EO-N today to query why they hadn't sent me a replacement bill (another saga) and asked if BG has cotnacted them to put the switch in place. They hadn't.

So I phone BG. NOTHING had gone through, despite me having received a confirmation email last week. Apparantly they have a big backlog due to the price rises. They phoned me back and put my switch through, but if you have switched and not heard anything yet, phone them - it may be that you are stuck in a very long queue and you switch could by the sounds of it be forgotten.

I'm not involved with capping - as I can't commit until the end of the terms - so I wanted click5 for the best gereral rate.
