how long should you keep paper statements?

Funny enough I have phoned my bank this afternoon to enquire how long they keep my account records and they said at least 6years or more e.g. if it is a loan of 10 years.0

i dont know baout bank statements but things like mobile phone bills, internet bills, cable tv bills id shred everything apart from the last 3-4 monthsNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
