savings advice, help needed.

Hello, After posting earlier Iam now aware that I cannot have a trust acc that lasts 25years.

So that now leaves me wondering, what type of account would be best for my new arrival when he comes?

Iam new to saving but do not want my child to have access to a lump sum at 18, are there accounts available that he couldnt access until 25? If so does anyone know what they are called?

Really grateful for any advice :)

  • I know nothing about the account types available but was wandering if it might be better to get a product which drip feeds him money at 18 whilst he's at Uni (if such product exists). For many the student years are the hardest in life and we are living in relative poverty!! I'm sure he'd appreciate part of the cash at that stage and then use the rest for a deoposit or something.
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!
