Age Concern energy services
I received a letter from Age Concern urging older consumers to switch to EON. On checking out their costs through uSwitch.com it turns out they are more expensive than many other providers including British Gas and npower.
Surely they shouldn't be allowed to advertise in this way considering many older people may not have the internet to check out their claims?

Eon put us on that tariff, about 18 months or so ago, as we were low users. (Apartment empty most of the time).
It shocked me when I actually looked at the rates they were charging, so we moved to Ebico earlier this year.
Now we pay for what little we use, at a much cheaper rate.0 -
I have posted several times on this subject.
I also wrote to Age Concern on this matter.
It is an absolute disgrace that a respected organisation like Age Concern allows its name to be used to allow a Utility company to peddle an uncompetitive tariff so that it gets commission.
