Stupid question and I think I know the answer.
I have £3000, do I put into a ISA now or a high intrest account untill april then transfer it across or straight into a ISA now

Put it straight into an ISA now if you are a tax payer. If you have already contributed to an ISA in this year you will need to pay it into that since you can only contribute to one cash ISA and / or one Stocks & Shares ISA in the same tax year. Also, if this is a cash ISA, you cannot put more than £3,600 in this tax year.
